Phoenix has a feather, lol
Barn Owl Feathers. While hiking today we found a tree where a family of red-shouldered hawks and a barn owl live. We found a lot of feathers, whitewash, and even some castings. After collecting the feathers for the photo, we returned them under the tree where they belong
So I found this really large feather the other day. At first I thought it might have been an eagle feather because of it’s size, but after examining different feathers online, I’ve decided that its probably just a feather from an abnormally large turkey vulture. The size matches that of a bald eagle secondary (38 cm), but shape and color is identical to that of the turkey fulture secondary. A strange little mystery. I think it came from vulture-zilla.
